Information Technology Applications in Knowledge Management

The development of information technology plays a crucial role indevelopment of knowledge management concepts. Therefore, component next in the application of this knowledge management is a technology in which case is related to the use of Information Technology (IT). The term Information Technology is a combination of two basic terms of technology and information. Technology can defined as the implementation of science, applied science is synonymous with. Meanwhile, the common sense information is something that is expressed by humans or byextracts from the facts.
Technology is not just limited to the hardware (equipment) and software (program), but also include human and specified goals, values which is used to make a choice implementation, and assessment criteria used to decide whether humans control technology or not.
Which include information technology are among others:
(1) telecommunications,
(2) optical communication systems,
(3) video-tape systems and video discs,
(4) computers, including computer vision, environmental data and expert systems,
(5) mikrobentuk,
(6) voice communication with the help of computers,
(7) network data,
(8) electronic mail, and (videoteks and teletext.)
